Nippon Connection is the biggest Japanese film festival in Europe. It takes place every year on the campus of Frankfurt University, in the German Film Museum, the Mousonturm, and the cinema Filmtheater Valentin. In addition to current Japanese newcomers and underground productions, a comprehensive cultural program is on offer. Subtitles from various festival items formed the basis for the design concept, a theme continued through all media including posters, programs, flyers, movie trailers, merchandise, and signs in the festival grounds.
